Bonner Cutting

Ms. Cutting is a survivor of ER positive, HER2 negative invasive ductal carcinoma.  After her diagnosis in 2010, she became a breast cancer research advocate.  She is currently the chair of the Susan G. Komen Houston Grants Committee and a member of the Komen Houston Medical Advisory Council Adjunct Committee.  She is a Komen Advocate in Science and has served as an advocate reviewer for Komen’s Career Catalyst Research Grants Program.  She has also served as a consumer reviewer for the Department of Defense Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program, and reviews breast cancer protocols for the Cochrane Collaboration.  As a member of the Alamo Breast Cancer Foundation, she participates in the annual Scholarship Advocate Program at the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium.   Ms. Cutting is a graduate of the National Breast Cancer Coalition’s Project LEAD advocate training, and continues to attend advocacy conferences and events including the NBCC Summit, the FDA’s Accelerated Anticancer Agent Development and Validation Workshop, Baylor College of Medicine’s Metastatic Breast Cancer Conferences, and the Houston Breast Health Collaborative Summits.
