Eugene Koay, M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Koay is an Associate Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology and serves as co-director of Gastrointestinal (GI) Radiation Oncology for the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He is the recipient of the 2014 Pancreatic Cancer Action Network – AACR Career Development Award. His research focuses on the biophysical transport properties in the tumor microenvironment as biomarkers of pancreatic cancer and its response to therapies. Dr. Koay has a translational laboratory dedicated to designing and implementing diagnostic and modeling approaches based on computed tomography (CT) imaging, pathology, and other data.
